What Does the Quran Say About Vows?

Vows are mentioned in the Quran in these verses:

 

[19:26] “Eat and drink, and be happy. When you see anyone, say, `I have made a vow of silence; I am not talking today to anyone.’ “

[22:29] They shall complete their obligations, fulfill their vows, and visit the ancient shrine.
